NewMan — Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the NewMan app and website, operated by Opus ("we"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

1. What NewMan is — and isn't

NewMan is an educational and self-help companion for adults who want to stop using pornography. It offers lessons, exercises, guided breathing and meditation, and progress tracking.

NewMan is not medical care. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition and does not replace a doctor, therapist or crisis service. If you are in distress or at risk of harming yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use NewMan.

3. Account

You sign in with your email address using a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

4. Subscription and payment

• Access to NewMan requires an active subscription, purchased on our website through our payment provider (Hotmart). Prices, plans and renewal terms are shown at purchase.
• The app does not sell subscriptions and does not process payments.
• Refunds and cancellations follow the terms shown at purchase and applicable consumer law (including the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code where it applies).
• If your subscription ends, the app will show that it is no longer active. Your local data remains on your device.

5. Your content and data

What you write in the app (reflections, plans, answers) stays on your device and belongs to you. We do not receive it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or circumvent access controls of the app or its services; do not use the app for anything unlawful; do not share your account.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its content (lessons, audio, artwork, curriculum) and trademarks belong to Opus or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use them within the app while your subscription is active. You may not copy, redistribute or resell them.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features. We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Opus is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
