NewMan — Privacy Policy

NewMan ("the app") is made by Opus ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, what stays on your phone, and your rights. We wrote it to be read.
The short version
- Everything sensitive — your streak, check-ins, relapse log, reflections and exercise answers — is stored only on your device. We never receive it.
- Our servers know two things about you: your email address (to sign you in) and whether your subscription is active.
- We do not track you, sell data, or use advertising or analytics SDKs.
What stays on your device
The app stores the following locally, in the app's private storage, and never uploads it:
- Your start date, daily check-ins and streak
- Relapse entries and the optional trigger you note
- SOS sessions and breathing practice
- Journey progress, reflections, plans and quiz answers
- Mood entries and meditation history
- Your display name and onboarding answers
- Preferences such as the narrator voice
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. You can also wipe it at any time in Settings → Clear local data.
What we collect on our servers

We do not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, health data, or anything about your recovery.
Content and voice
Lessons, meditations and voice narration are produced in advance and served to every user identically. Your name may be spoken in a greeting: in that case the app sends only your first name to our server to generate a short audio clip, which is cached for reuse. Nothing else you write or do in the app is sent.
Payments
Subscriptions are purchased on our website through Hotmart. Hotmart processes your payment under its own privacy policy; we receive a notification with your email, the plan and the subscription status. The app itself does not process payments.
Tracking and analytics
None. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking identifiers. The app's privacy manifest declares exactly this.
Data retention and deletion
- Your account and subscription record are kept while your account exists.
- Delete account in Settings removes your account from our sign-in system and your session. Subscription records required for accounting are kept only as long as the law requires.
- Local data is removed when you clear it in Settings or uninstall the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the LGPD in Brazil and the GDPR in the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because almost everything lives on your device, most of this is under your direct control. For anything held on our servers, email us and we will respond within 15 days.
Children
NewMan is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Server-side data is stored with our providers under access controls; sensitive recovery data never leaves your device, which is the strongest protection we can offer.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
